Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa on Monday evening commented on her meeting with ODM Leader Raila Odinga.
Jumwa said the meeting with Odinga did not take place at the ODM Parliamentary Group meeting held at County Hall, but was held in her office.
The outspoken MP said Odinga's visit came to her as a surprise but did not comment on the nature of their conversation.
The ODM Party, through spokesman Philip Etale, claimed that the Malindi legislator had defected from the Tanga Tanga movement that supports Deputy President William Ruto's 2022 presidential campaign.
"Rt. Hon. Raila makes a surprise visit to my Parliamentary Service Commission's Office this afternoon. This was after he attended the ODM Parliamentary Group meeting at County Hall that I did not attend!" she said in a statement on her Facebook account.
The MP did not comment on Etale's claim that she had vowed to campaign for ODM Candidate Imran Okoth during the Kibra by-election slated for November 7th.
Okoth was among the people who accompanied Odinga to Jumwa office. Suna East MP Junet Mohamed and Saboti's Caleb Amisi were also at the high-profile meeting.
