Speaking to the press he said, "We don't seek permision, we only notify police so that they provide security. That police officers don't understand the law. This is a free country, we have Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Association and Freedom of Expression."

However, Mr Odinga did not respond to questions relating to the threat issued by NASA elected members of parliament to boycott the swearing in ceremony set to take place on Thursday after President Uhuru called the first sitting in Parliament despite the pending election poll petition.

The Supreme Court today postponed the petition hearing to Monday August 28th at 9am instead of Sunday at 3pm.
