Here is the Sonko-linked speech that caused violence inside Nairobi hotel

What caused the Nairobi drama

The speech was to be delivered by former Nairobi Central Business District Association (NCBDA) chair Timothy Muriuki but was brutally attacked by unidentified men minutes before he could deliver the speech touching on the State of Nairobi.

Details of the speech have now raised more questions than answers on who hired the goons to attack Mr Muriuki in front of the glaring cameras.

Ejected

Mr. Muriuki was beaten up before being ejected from the hotel by the unidentified men.

In videos shared on social media the huge men are heard accusing Muriuki of plotting to smear mud on Sonko’s leadership during the press briefing.

However, Mr. Muriuki’s speech proofs otherwise.

The document seen by Pulselive.co.ke seems to be hailing praises on the Nairobi Governor while castigating those blaming Mr Sonko for the deplorable state the City has been plunged into.

"It is beginning to look like there are emissaries of shadowy political scavengers fighting Nairobi County Governor, Mike Mbuvi Sonko for reasons other than the welfare of Nairobi and Nairobians.

"Let us separate politicking from service delivery and let us give Governor Sonko a chance to deploy his delivery-team- part of which was sworn-in hardly a fortnight ago,” he said.

Proposals

In the speech which he never delivered Mr Muriuki outlined three proposals that the County Government can use to make the City better.
