Under the hashtag Kenyans from all walks off life have registered their sentiments with lots of bitterness.

On March 9, Odinga and Kenyatta held a meeting with efforts to settle their political differences and allow the country to move forward.

In the signed documents, the two leaders agreed to work together for the benefit of all Kenyans and many expected that Miguna’s return was part of the deal.

The Opposition leader mentioned that they had agreed with President Kenyatta to unite the country stating that it had started with the leaders.

"We have responded to our challenges by mostly running from them, we have moved from election to election never asking what effects these challenges will have on our nation," Odinga said.

Despite the handshake, a wide gap still exists between the government and leaders in the opposition.

Reactions from Kenyans

One use had this to say “Raila lost trust from supporters after the bloody handshake. So sad that I supported it. I denounce. Raila must denounce the handshake and his political image that was sinking will be redeemed. Fight for Miguna's violated rights using the people's power. #”Another one added “I thought you guys joined the government...how can you destroy your own house and go begging for a place to put your head #

“BABA I have followed you and supported your principles for over 10 years, But after mistreatment of At upon Today I break One of Principles which is The # I denounce it and will not therefore support it, DENOUNCE IT!!”

“The handshake wasn't fake, Raila enjoys seeing Miguna detained and embarrassed, Raila is your next door toddler that doesn't share toys with your 2year old son #

“ if indeed you're the man Kenyans have always been looking for all along, you ought to withdraw that handshake and forget about taking that despot to Nyanza because you will regret it #MigunaReturns #”

"Starting today we begin a process of togetherness and we look forward to the support of every single leader and kenyan," the Head of State said.
