Kuttuny to mediate between Raila and Wetangula as NASA faces split

DP Ruto’s ally to reconcile Raila and Wetangula

Cherangany MP Joshua Kuttuny has disclosed that he will help in mediating between Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula and Raila Odinga.

Speaking at an event in Cherangany on Friday, Kutuny urged Odinga not to forsake hi fellow co-principals Moses Wetangula, Musalia Mudavadi and Kalonzo Musyoka.

“You know Raila had his three brothers, Wetang’ula, Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper) and Musalia Mudavadi (ANC), but after reaching Canaan it is not a good picture that he has decided to eat fruits alone, I will talk to him so that he cannot forget Weta and the others,” he disclosed.

The former advisor to the president and close ally to DP Ruto divulged that he was one of the people who prevailed upon President Uhuru Kenayatta to initiate dialogue with the opposition so as to calm political tensions in the country.

“The four principals were in the cold together but I am disappointed after getting a small meal from Uhuru, Raila now does not want any of the NASA principals to move near him,” Kutuny added.

His offer comes four days after Wetangula was ousted as the Senate Minority leader and replace by Siaya Senator James Orengo.

The move saw Kalonzo, Wetangula and Mudavadi gang up against Raila and Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), accusing them of wrecking NASA and weakening the already fragile opposition coalition.

“It is better ODM leaves NASA than wrecking our parties. This NASA thing is not working. Some of us are wondering if this was part of the handshake,” Ford Kenya Secretary General and Tongaren MP Eseli Simiyu said.
