President Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday hosted leaders from the Mt Kenya region at the Sagana State Lodge in Nyeri County where he discussed the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).

Though the meeting was a closed door affair where phones and the media were locked out, sources privy to discussions that were held revealed that the President gave express orders that the leaders should support BBI.
He assured his guests that he is aware of what he is doing and that they should trust his judgement.
A second issue the president addressed is the politicking that has split the government into informal 'kieleweke' and 'tanga tanga' groups.
He urged the politicians from his backyard to quit politics and focus on their delivery to the people they serve assuring them that he would do the same.
President Kenyatta also gave focus to agricultural activities revolving around dairy, tea and coffee which have been a major source of wealth for the region as well as the country.
