DP Ruto Reveals the One Trick Uhuru Always Uses to Defeat Raila
Deputy President William Ruto on Monday gave an interesting revelation...
Speaking on the campaign trail in Tharaka Nithi, Ruto stated that President Kenyatta was a people’s person who was always working together to bring people while at the same time claiming that the NASA leader made the mistake of shouting messages of witchcraft that alienated him.
“Wakati Uhuru anajenga daraja za undugu kusema tuko pamoja, ule mganga ati anasema tibim..anaendesha uganga, (While Uhuru is building bridges of friendship and saying we are together, the witch doctor is saying tibim, spreading withcraft)” the Deputy President stated amid cheers from the crowd.
Campaign phrases have for long been a part of the Kenyan political psyche with rivals riding on messages that invigorate their supporters.
While NASA has relied on the inexplicable phrases of Tibim and tialala, Jubilee has relied on “Tuko Pamoja” slogan to create a perception of a national unity.
Jubilee politicians have taken advantage of the gap in knowledge on the origin of the terms tibim and tialala to propagate negative propaganda against the coalition.
For instance, Jubilee nominated MP David Ole Sankok has claimed that Tibim is a goddess God of War from the Greek mythology.
On the other hand, NASA have attacked the Jubilee “tuko pamoja” by highlighting inequalities that prove “hatuko pamoja”.
