The protestors mostly from Kondele paralysed transport in Kisumu Town as they blocked roads as they carried placards chanting slogans demanding the immediate sacking of some IEBC officials who include CEO Ezra Chiloba as they clashed with police.

The demonstrators, led by Kisumu Central MP Fred Ouda, were planning to march to the offices of the IEBC in the Central Business District.

Police officers were at one time forced to retreat to the Kondele Police Station after running out of teargas as anti-IEBC protesters pelted them with stones.
