ODM has pulled out of the Wajir West by-election scheduled for April 25.

This move comes following consultations where the Raila Odinga-led party decided they should return the favor to Jubilee who did not field candidates in the Ugenya and Embakasi South by-elections.

A statement from ODM read in part: "The party has withdrawn from the April 25th by-election in Wajir West Constituency."

It further added: "This is after high-level party consultations which arrived at the decision to reciprocate @JubileePartyK's earlier gesture not to field candidates in by-elections in Ugenya & Embakasi South."

The Supreme Court ordered fresh elections in Wajir West in the case that was filed against the election of Ahmed Kolosh, who is the Jubilee Party candidate.

Kolosh bit the dust, after the Supreme Court ruled that his election was invalid after a petition by Abdirahman Ibrahim Mohamed (Kanu).

The apex court cited irregularities at Qara polling station, which it noted could have favored the MP or the loser.
