Amidst pilling pressure from his critics urging him to quit local politics and concentrate on his AU job, NASA leader Raila Odinga has issued a statement giving the way forward to his supporters.

Odinga assured his supporters that his decision to take up the role of AU  High Representative for Infrastructure Development in Africa would not alienate him from local politics.

I am going nowhere," Odinga told his supporters at a funeral in Yimbo, Siaya County,

"My new appointment as AU envoy comes with an office in Nairobi. I will just be travelling to Ethiopia, South Africa and other African nations on assignment and returning to the office in Nairobi, where I will be based." He clarified.
