Fun moments during Mzee Jomo Kenyatta memorial

During the 2018 commemoration, President Kenyatta brought up unexpected discussions to lighten up the room.

"Na wewe Sonko, mama anauliza wapi pension kwa sababu mzee aliwafanyia kazi (And you Sonko, my mother has been asking where is the pension since her husband worked for you),” the head of state stated amid uproar.

The President also shared a light moment with former Prime Minister Raila Odinga as the ODM party leader narrated how Mzee Jomo spoke to him in German during their first face-to-face meeting.
