He was replaced by CIA chief Mike Pompeo while Gina Haspel was named as the new CIA director making her the first woman in America history to take up that position.

While in Kenya, the US Secretary of State met President Uhuru Kenyatta and other senior ranking government officials. During a meeting at State House in Nairobi, Mr Tillerson assured Mr Kenyatta of USA ’s commitment to Kenya on trade and security.“There is no question about US commitment to Kenya on trade and security,” Mr Tillerson said.
