K’Ogalo scored one goal in either half to seal a score-line which has taken them closer to the winning prize and a slot of playing against English Premier League side Everton.
Nakuru AllStars, who knocked out Tanzanian giants Simba in the quarters went to the match with a mind-set of winning but their dream were dented at the stroke of half-time when Rwandan striker Meddie Kagere headed past keeper Martin Lule.
In the second half, stand-in coach Zedekiah ‘Zico’ Otieno introduced Amos Nondi in the 57th minute and rested goal-scorer Meddie Kagere in the 62th minute in a bid to adjust the lineup as they look for another goal.
The changes created an impact which was manifested in the 82th minute with a goal from George ‘Blackberry’ Odhiambo; a goal which wrapped up the game.
In an earlier semifinal match, arch-rivals AFC Leopards had also sailed past Yanga to book the final spot. It will be fascinating to see how the two teams lock horns in a derby outside Kenya.
