At least five people have been reported killed at Kabul airport as Afghans attempt to run away from their country, after the Taliban took control of the government.

The Afghan capital, Kabul, fell to the Taliban on Sunday, August 15, after the terrorist group had seized a dozen other towns and provinces.

Afghan President Ashraf Ghani fled the country before Kabul fell; and is reported to be taking refuge in Uzbekistan.

The Taliban swept into Kabul unopposed, before seizing the presidential palace.

New satellite images from Maxar showed a crowd of people on the tarmac at Kabul International Airport, early Monday.

"While one Turkish airliner prepares to takeoff from the airfield, security forces can be seen near one of the airport’s main runways attempting to prevent crowds of people from moving toward other aircraft and from blocking flight operations," Maxar said of the images.&nbsp;

Another video showed people clinging to the fuselage of a US military aircraft as it taxied on the runway.

Gunshots rang round the airport, as the United States announced that all its embassy staff have been evacuated to what has turned into a chaotic airport.

UN Secretary General, Antonio Guterres, says he has heard of "chilling reports of severe restrictions on human rights throughout the country."

He adds that: "I am particularly concerned by accounts of mounting human rights violations against the women and girls of Afghanistan."

More than 60 countries have issued a joint statement, calling on the Taliban to allow people to leave, the BBC reports.

<h1>Oprah Winfrey's interview with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle respectively, is the most talked about event on social media at the moment.</h1>

The interview comes after Harry and Meghan decided to step back from the English Royal Family last year and relocated to the United States.

Harry and Meghan first met on a blind date arranged by a mutual friend in 2016. By 2018, they were married.

The fact that Meghan, a U.S actress by profession, is of mixed race, meant that she ran into trouble with the people who call the shots in Buckingham Palace.

The couple's decision to speak to the queen of US interviewers on CBS has sparked a transatlantic row with Buckingham Palace.

The interview has also been branded the most important piece of royal TV since Harry's mother, Princess Diana, spoke to the BBC's Martin Bashir in 1995 after her separation from Prince Charles.

Here are a couple of teas spilled during the interview:

1..Meghan says she was depressed living in the palace and often contemplated suicide. "I didn't want to be alive anymore," she says.

2..Harry discloses that his family has been cut off financially from the palace, which is why they had to seek deals with Netflix and Spotify.

3..Harry says his family never really liked Meghan from the beginning and he was told that they were never going to foot her bills. "But that was right at the beginning, when she wasn't going to get security, when members of my family were suggesting that she carries on acting, because there was not enough money to pay for her, and all this sort of stuff.

"Like, there was some real obvious signs before we even got married that this was going to be really hard," he says.

4..Meghan discloses that one member of the Royal Family was very concerned about how brown or black their son (Archie) was going to be, before he was born.

"In those months when I was pregnant, all around this same time, we have in tandem, the conversation of "He won't be given security, he's not going to be given a title," and also concerns and conversations about how dark his skin might be when he's born," Meghan says.

5..Asked if it was 'important' for her that Archie be called a Prince, Meghan says she doesn't have any attachment to the 'grandeur' of official titles.

6..Meghan discloses that the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, who is Prince William's wife, once made her cry.

She however adds that Kate has since apologised. The quarrel was over outfits for the flower girls.

"A few days before the wedding, she was upset about something pertaining - yes, the issue was correct - about flower girl dresses, and it made me cry, and it really hurt my feelings," Meghan says.

"But she owned it, and she apologised. And she brought me flowers and a note, apologising," she adds.

7..Meghan says members of the Royal Family were willing to lie to protect other members of the family, "but they weren't willing to tell the truth to protect me and my husband."

8..Meghan says she entered the Royal Family naively and that she was shocked when she had to curtsy before the queen during their first meeting.&nbsp;

"That was when the penny dropped. We just practiced and then walked in. We went in and I met her and apparently I did a very deep curtsy, I don't remember it. Then we just sat there and chatted. I grew up in LA (Los Angeles), I see celebrities all the time. It's not the same. This is a completely different ball game," she says.

9..Harry says they were left with no security from Buckingham Palace when they escaped the UK for Canada and then for California. He adds that it was Tyler Perry who came to their rescue by offering them a roof over their heads and security.

Winnie Madikizela Mandela was wife of Nelson Mandela, South Africa's first black president and freedom fighter.

Winnie endured a tainted reputation after Mandela emerged from prison after 27 years.

In 2016, Winnie left hospital after undergoing surgery on her back. She's been in and out of hospital since that time.

Winnie went for surgery and follow-up procedure early March of 2016.

Born Nomzamo Winifred Zanyiwe Madikizela, and always known simply as "Winnie", she was married to Nelson for 38 years -- one of the most storied romances of modern history.

Most of <a href="http://www.pulse.ng/news/world/article8099179.ece" id="f8edd6a3-8980-5a31-9bf6-1d23537a55f1">their marriage was spent apart</a>with Nelson imprisoned for 27 years, leaving her to raise their two daughters alone and to keep alive his political dream under the repressive white-minority regime.

In 1990 the world watched when Nelson Mandela finally walked out of prison -- hand in hand with Winnie.

But they separated just two years later and divorced in 1996 <a href="http://www.pulse.ng/gist/article4952824.ece" id="d2a6d7a5-7930-5e51-946e-7777d6b8982c">after a legal wrangle</a>that revealed her affair with a young bodyguard.

AFP writes that with or without Nelson, Winnie built her own role as a tough, glamourous and outspoken black activist with a loyal grassroots following in the segregated townships.

"From every situation I have found myself in, you can read the political heat in the country," she said in a biography.

Winnie was born September 26, 1936, in the village of Mbongweni in what is now Eastern Cape.

She completed university, a rarity for black women at the time, and became the first qualified social worker at Johannesburg's Baragwanath Hospital.

It was her political awakening, especially her research work in Alexandra township on infant mortality, which found 10 deaths in every 1,000 births.

"I started to realise the abject poverty under which most people were forced to live, the appalling conditions created by the inequalities of the system," she said.

Nelson and Winnie got married in June 1958, but Mandela soon went underground, hounded by the apartheid authorities.

In October that year, Winnie was arrested for the first time at a protest by women against the pass system that restricted movements of black people in white-designated areas.

After Nelson was sentenced to life in prison in 1964, Winnie was also in and out of jail as the police hounded her in a bid to demoralise him.

Nelson Mandela died on December 5, 2013.
