Over 4,000 candidates in the just concluded elections vied as independents in what analysts argued that is set to change the dynamics of Kenyan politics.
In Isiolo County, Independent candidate Mohammed Abdi Kuti has garnered 13689 votes which is 43.8 per cent of then votes cast. He has been the Senator of the area.
He has been followed by Jubilee's Abdul Bahari Ali who has 8020 votes representing 25.7 per cent.
Incumbent Governor Godana Doyo is coming in meagerly third with 7,964 votes. It is clear he might lose.
Already 119 out of 195 polling station have submitted their results.
Laikipia County
In Laikipia County, Independent Candidate Nderitu Mureithi is leading with 88,362 votes standing at 51.06 per cent of the votes cast. He is followed by incumbent Jubilee's Joshua Irungu who has 84,678 votes representing 48.9 per cent of votes.
Already 471 polling stations out of 531 polling stations in Laikipia have submitted their results.
