Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko has now claimed that NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga approached him to join the Opposition.
Speaking during a campaign trail over the weekend in Nairobi, Sonko alleged that Odinga wanted him to replace incumbent Evans Kidero before he turned down the offer.
He stated that he had recorded evidence on both video and audio and that he could prove his claims.
"I just don't want to make those recordings public because I respect Raila so much and am also related to Kalonzo Musyoka," the Senator said.
Sonko was responding to the former Prime Minister's claims that how was not fit enough to lead Nairobi.
The Opposition leaders stated that he would immediately resign if he was to win the presidency and Sonko beats incumbent Evans Kidero.
"If I win presidency and Sonko also win the governorship, I will resign immediately as President," Odinga said.
