Prince of Rhumba Fally Ipupa set for an electrifying performance in Nairobi
Fally was among the Nominees for the 2018 BET Awards
Fally will be on a tour in Kenya to promote his 4th Album dubbed “Tokoos Nouvel” which was released late last year.
Fally enjoys a unique genre of music and is making efforts to ensure his style gets deeply rooted in the Congolese rhumba, mainstream.
His fans are expecting nothing short of a waist twisting, conga and boogie down performance at this concert.
Fally will be joined on stage by the 7-head African Afro-smooth genre group Gogosimo band and these gentlemen have a line up for us.
The band plays a rich coastal sound mixed with exquisite western instrumentation and a tasty touch of African beats, creating a recipe of sweet East African Sound.
Gogosimo band has entertained hundreds of thousands of fans throughout its tenure, gracing various local and international events.
They are also widely popular for playing for the Churchill Show and even collaborated with the legendary Papa Wemba. Led by the group lead vocalist and multi-instrumentalist James Gogo, these gentlemen promise to wow their fans.
Fred Obachi and Jalang'o
The show will all be pieced together by two brilliant MC’s, Fred Obachi aka Uncle Fred and the humorous Jalango Mwenyewe. Uncle Fred has over four decades of experience as a veteran radio presenter and an unmatched repertoire for African Music and especially Rhumba.
Jalango’s young and vibrant energy, along with his green suit and leopard print shirt will bring some humor and flavor to the concert.
EABL through its Singleton whisky drink, will be the official drink partner for the event.
Aces and Light, the official event manager, will be hosting a press brief at a date and location to be confirmed prior to the concert.
