Popular K24 anchor quits

The move comes days after two other anchors left the station

In a post seen by Pulselive.co.ke, Wafula disclosed that Friday was his last day at the Mediamax-owned TV station.

“Last day . It has been a great 3 years hosting Alfajiri, The Daily Brief and covering 2017 Elections. Great team turned family. Looking forward to my next move. Soon.” shared Ian Wafula

Career

Ian graduated from Daystar University in 2014 with a B.A in communication and got an opportunity to intern at KTN in August 2013 and later on was employed after 6 months.

In December 2015, Wafula parted ways with KTN and joined K24 to host Alfajiri  alongside Amina Abdi who later moved to NTV to replace Larry Madowo on the Trend.

His move comes days after another pair of Journalists; Zawadi Mudibo and Maya Kayahawa were also poached by BBC.
