Good news for Kenyans who have been suffering from high electricity costs

Kenya Power has been on the spot for overcharging customers

The announce set for Friday, will serve as good news to Kenyans amidst complaints of high electricity bills.

In January, Kenya Power was on the spot for overcharging its customers, an act that angered many Kenyans.

The over-charge was pointed out by former Law Society of Kenya (LSK) CEO Apollo Mboya who disclosed that the company had errors in its billing system.

His concern prompted Kenya power management to respond stating that the erroneous billing had been caused by migration to the new integrated customers Management System.

Kenya Power offers solution

Kenya Power noted that they had commenced a countrywide publicity campaign to rectify the error  that mostly affected customers in the month of December 2017.

“We have invited all affected to bring the erroneous bill to our attention to enable us to address it. For this purpose, we have set up helpdesks in our offices throughout the country and we have made telephone numbers available to our customers to access the helpdesks,” Kenya Power stated.
