Popular actress dies during childbirth

The Kenyan entertainment industry has been thrown into mourning following the death of one of their own.

Speaking to Ommydallah, the C.E.O of Ashiners Films Ann Hamburg described her death as a big blow to not only the organization but also the Kenyan film industry.“She had gone to Kilifi to give birth but she died in the process. The kid also died. This is a very big blow to us, very sad indeed.”

Ann also revealed that it was a joy to work with Maureen. “We have worked with her since 2011 when she started her career. She was a very jovial, hardworking actress. It was always easy and fun working with her. We will miss her a lot”.
