Rayvanny releases "Coronavirus" song hours after it was confirmed in Tanzania

Singer Rayvanny has released a brand new song dubbed "CORONA" with the aim of creating awareness among his fans on the seriousness of COVID-19, hours after Tanzania reported its first case of the epidemic.

In the informative song, VannyBoy is out enlightening Tanzanians on how to take care of themselves in order to avoid contracting the Coronavirus that has now been reported in many countries across the world.

In the song the WCB signee made a prayer, asking God to take away the Coronavirus, as many people around the world are poor and they can't even fight the deadly virus.

The singer went to the extent of featuring President John Magufuli's voice in the song where he is heard giving important precautions put in place to help fight the Coronavirus.

"Tanzania hatuwezi tukajiweka Pemebeni bila kuchukua hatua. Hatua zimeshaanza kuchukuliwa na waziri wa Afaya ameshatoa Tahadhari mbali mbali amabzo tunapaswa kuchukua. Napenda nirudie Ndugu zangu watanzania kwamba ni vizuri sana tukaendelea kuchukuwa tahadhari kwa nguvu zote. Ugonjwa huu unauwa na unaua haraka sana. Niwaombe Ndugu zangu watanzania tusipuzee ujongwa huu hata kidogo. Ni lazima tuanze kuchukua hatua za kujikinga na ujonjwa huu" says Magufuli in the song.

Coronavirus in Tanzania

On Monday, the Tanzanian Health Minister Ummy Mwalimu confirmed the first case of Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Mwalimu said the case is of a 46-year-old woman who returned to the Country (Tanzania) on Sunday from Belgium aboard RwandAir plane.

"Mnano tarehe 15 machi 2020 tulipokea msafiri Mtanzania mwanamke mwenye umri wamiaka 46,ambaye aliwasili na ndenge ya Rwandair, akitokea nchini ubelgiji. Msafiri hutu aliondoka tarehe 3 machi 2020 , ambapo kati ya tarehe 5-13 machi alitembelea nchi za Sweden an Denmark an kurudi tena ubelgiji na kurejea nchini tarehe 15 machi saa 10 jioni. Msafiri huyu alipita uwanja wa KIA akafanyiwa ukaguzi na kuonekana kutokuwa n ahoma. Baadae alianza kujisikia vibaya akiwa hotelini na kupelekwa maabara ya Taifa ya afya ya Jamii iliyopo Dar es Salaam kwa ajili ya uchunguzi. Vipimo vya Maabara vimethibitisa kuwa mtu huyu ana maambukizi ya ugonjwa wa Corona (COVID-19). Mgonjwa huyo anaendela vizuri na matibabu" reads part of a statement from Health Minister Ummy Mwalimu.
