Police officer allegedly commits suicide over Borno posting

The daughter of the deceased, Ukamaka revealed that her late father had taken a bucket to fetch water from the well but did not return for several hours.

His extended absence created suspicion and tension leading family members to search for him.

Ukamaka added that upon reaching the well, his bucket was found and upon further investigation, it was discovered that he was dead.

“My father took a bucket that he was going to fetch water from our well on Sunday night but could not come back after some time that created suspicion and we started looking for him.

“I went to the well and saw his bucket. When I looked inside the well, I discovered that he has died”, she said.

Police spokesperson, Loveth Ogah stated that she was unaware of the development as at press time but promised to speak on the development following confirmation.
