Eight armed men stole an unknown amount of money from a petrol station in Oyugis town.
Security guards who were manning the petrol station said the men stormed in at 3 a.m and demanded money.
Ropes
The guards said the robbers tied their hands with sisal ropes and proceeded to a room where money had been kept as reported by the Standard.
Homa Bay County Police Commander Marius Tum said they were following leads that could enable them apprehend the suspects.
Fled
“The money was from the previous day’s sales but they have not approximated how much it was,” Tum said.
Tum said police officers who rushed to the scene found that the gang had fled.
