Why cooking with non-stick pans is dangerous for your health

Experts say this is why you shouldn't cooking with non-stick pans.

The chemicals known as perfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) have been linked to hormone disruption, immune dysfunction, high cholesterol and cancer as well.

The study published in PLOS Medicine, showed that levels of PFAS found in blood were associated with greater weight gain who had recently lost weight- especially in women.

People with higher blood levels of PFAS were found to have lower metabolic rates.

Previous studies linked the chemical to obesity as well.

The people under the study had been put on diets and managed to lose 6.3kg in the first 6 months and gained another 2.7kg in the next year and a half.

The ones who gained the most weight had higher levels of PFAS in their blood.
