How to tell when a man isn't interested.
You get intimacy for intimacy. Affection for affection. Sex for sex. Relationships are essentially a feel-good feelings exchange program that leave the partners happier than they ever could have been.
However, there are instances where it feels as though your attention, your affection, your effort is not reciprocated. There are times when it feels as though you’re the only one who wants to pursue a relationship. Sometimes, he’s just not that into you.
1. When you have to initiate communication
Just after a date that went really well, you can’t wait to see each other again. Sometimes you go home together. Other times, you even call each other as soon as you get home. That butterfly feeling makes you want to spend as much time as possible with each other.
But when he’s not into you he will only chat with you after you’ve texted or called him.
2. When you always get delayed responses
Sometimes, life gets in the way of dating and your potential partner is a bit tied up with work or whatever. But they get back to you as soon as they can.
When he’s not that into you, he won’t respond immediately. The guy will blue tick you and then send you a “K” or “LOL” at midnight or some ungodly hour.
3. When he avoids you and your touch
Now when you’re into each other, you want to be all up in each other’ business. Sometimes you want to go slow because you want to savour it or you have values that don’t encourage that kind of activity early in a relationship. But you talk about it.
This special brand of man-child will lean away from you whenever you want to touch his face or his hair.
4. When he keeps putting you off
He will always come up with a reason why you can’t meet. Can’t go out in public. Can’t have sex. Can’t kiss. And some of those reasons are about as legitimate as a Chines Rolex copy.
5. When he keeps you a secret
He won’t want to introduce you to his friends or family even when he bumps into them. He won’t want to meet your friends or family. And when you run into them he will be rude and dismissive.
6. When he doesn’t care you find out he was lying.
He won’t be remorseful. He won’t care that he hurt your feelings. He’ll act like you’re making a big deal out of lying.
