A 16-year old girl, Sheila Jebet, has been violently murdered by her boyfriend in another incident of young women being killed by their male lovers.

The incident took place in Ololulunga in Narok county. The body was discovered on Tuesday morning although police suspect that the victim had been killed on Monday.

The couple was living in a come-we-stay union for three months at a house owned by Jebet’s boyfriend.

Neighbors said the two had been quarreling for most part of their relationship and had a confrontation for the better part of Monday.

Jebet’s body was found on Tuesday at a thicket near their house, a knife believed to be the murder weapon was also found nearby.

The incident was confirmed by Narok South Sub-county Charles Mukele, adding that police were already hunting down for the suspect.
