Baringo Senator Gideon Moi on Thursday denied having visited Deputy President William Ruto’s Karen home.

Moi was reacting to a viral report saying that he had gone to apologize to the DP.

The report was accompanied by a photo that captured the Senator with Ruto’s aides Emmanuel Talam and Farouk Kibet

Moi accused Ruto’s camp of spreading the false claims in order to misled Kenyans, saying he was in Kabarak with his father – former President Daniel arap Moi.

“The social media has been awash with photos purporting that I was at a certain Karen home. The information is not true but propaganda by a wing of the political divide desperate to hoodwink Kenyans. I have been home in Kabarak since yesterday spending quality time with H.E Mzee,” Gideon said on Twitter.

The incident was yet another show of the rivalry between Ruto and the Baringo Senator.

The two are expected to face off during the 2022 presidential campaign.
