We do not want your jobs

DP Ruto offered them jobs if they pull out of the race for Soin/Sigowet Parliamentary seat in favor of Jubilee candidates.
Both Langat and Koros said that their sole reason for their political bids was to serve the electorate and not to get jobs from it.
“As independent candidates, we are happy to note that democratic space has been opened in the county and that residents are determined to vote leaders they want despite the contrary campaign by Jubilee leaders against independent candidates,” said Koros.
According to Langat, however, he would have accepted the DPs job offer had it come before he had already announced his bid to defend the Soin/ Sogowet Parliamentary seat.
Koros on the other hand indicated that receiving any other job would deny him the legislative chance to draft bills that could help change the social/economic state of the people of Soin/Sigowet.
“I ask the Deputy President William Ruto to reserve the job that he promised me for area legislator Justice Kemei because I am confident that I am going to defeat him in the August polls.
Langat and Koros were addressing the press at a hotel in Kericho town on Thursday June 22.
President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto had last week visited Kericho town during their campaign tour.
