It has now emerged that Governor Hassan Joho received a warning message before he was arrested by GSU officers...

President Uhuru kenyatta and Governor Hassan Joho

Through his Twitter account, Murkomen alleged that Joho had been attending Kenyatta’s function in Mombasa to cause drama and gain political mileage.

"I told Joho last week that the only service he has delivered to the people of Mombasa is following Uhuru and insulting him.

"For his re-election, Joho is depending on getting a chance to attend the President's functions. What irony for a man who hates his Excellency," the Senator wrote.

A rare spectacle was witnessed in Mombasa on Monday after Joho was nabbed by GSU officers, who barred him from attending President Uhuru Kenyatta’s function as he launched the the Mtongwe ferry services.

The Governor claimed that he was placed under office arrest at his County offices on orders of the President.

The Head of State seemed unfazed by Joho’s drama and warned that he would deal with him if he continued joking and interfering with his work.

“He should not joke with us or we will deal with him,” Kenyatta warned.

He went ahead and warned Joho to show the residents of Mombasa what he had done for them instead of following him around.
