Thika town MP Alice Ng'ang'a

Trouble began at Thika Stadium when the legislator was called to address the gathering by DP Ruto. When she was just about to speak, supporters of her rival candidate,  Patrick Wainaina who is vying for the seat as an independent, heckled and forced her to cut her address.

The President and his deputy watched mercilessly as attempts to calm the crowd bore no fruit.Kenyatta stated that he never interfered with the nominations and urged the locals to vote for Jubilee candidates, which clearly they could not fathom.

"I want you to give me people who I can work with in my second term. You never saw me interfere with the nominations, and I said that I will work with the leaders that you will nominate,” the Head of State said.
