Drama ensued in Baringo County when Energy Cabinet Secretary Charles Keter clashed publicly with Baringo Woman Representative Gladwell Cheruiyot and Tiaty MP William Kamket.
Trouble started when the CS who had visited the area to inspect the ongoing construction of a geothermal project was accosted by the two lawmakers who were clearly not impressed after being sidelined during the visit.
In a video seen by Pulselive.co.ke, the lawmakers took on the CS, engaging in a shouting match as Kamket condemned Keter for lying to him about his visit.
"Why are you isolating us, we are not fools, we just heard about your presence through rumours. Chungana na hasira ya mjinga (Be careful of a fool's wrath)," warned the Kamket.
The Tiaty lawmaker allied to Baringo Senator Gideon Moi accused the CS of playing politics and lying to him when he called earlier to enquire about the visit.
A calm Keter is seen trying to calm the angry MPs, extending an invitation for them to join him in the tour and maintaining that he did not have any ill intentions.
The confrontation brought to the fore the bitter political rivalry in the region with the two accusing the CS who is a close ally of DP Ruto of using the visit to advance hidden political agenda.
