The Treasury CS, PS Kamau Thugge spent Monday night at Muthaiga Police Station while 19 other high-ranking officials in government were held in various police stations in Nairobi and in Eldoret.

Deputy President William Ruto
Meanwhile, political allies and lawyers close to Deputy President William Ruto flocked the Nairobi court in solidarity with Rotich and his co-suspects.
Ruto's longtime lawyers Kioko Kilukumi and Katwa Kigen were among those who appeared for the defense side.
Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen also appeared in court in support of the suspects.
Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji on Monday said all the suspects would step aside once they have taken plea in the cases and will remain suspended until their cases are concluded.
President Uhuru Kenyatta is any time from now expected to make appointments that will provide leadership at Treasury once Rotich and Thugge have stepped aside.
