Gatundu South legislator Moses Kuria has told off Deputy President William Ruto for blaming Jubilee Party Secretary Raphael Tuju, asserting that the party died a long time ago.

Ruto had taken to Twitter in shock amidst reports that Tuju is colluding with Raila Odinga to outsmart him in the 2022 succession race.

“So our democracy is so liberal that the SG of the ruling party has become the chief strategist of the opposition!! Maajabu,” Ruto wrote on Twitter.

Through his Facebook page, Kuria told off the DP, asserting that the party died on 09 March 2018 with the handshake between Raila Odinga and Uhuru Kenyatta.

“Dear my good friend Deputy President William Ruto. Jubilee went into political bankruptcy on the 9th of March 2018. The nature and configuration of Kenya's politics forced us into Article 11 Bankruptcy. Raphael Tuju is only a Receiver-Manager. Don't attack the messenger please,” Kuria wrote.

DP Ruto’s words came after Nation reported that the Cabinet Secretary without portfolio had unmatched influence in both Jubilee and the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) where he is a member of Raila Odinga’s Advisory Council.

The daily stated that Tuju was a key advisor to former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and is integral in coordinating development projects in the Nyanza region.

The report further said that CS Tuju is also a strategist in the 2022 succession race, something he has been accused of, on several occasions by Deputy President William Ruto’s allies.
