In a brief statement to the press, Ms Wambui insisted that she is qualified for the government role.
She further hit back at the naysayers claiming that she is more adept at the requirements of the post than any of those questioning her efficacy.
"I got the post because I am better than those complaining. I have the qualifications and experience to run the office," she stated.
She went on to promise that she would focus on Kenyan youth when she takes up the job.
"I thank the President for this opportunity. He has the youth’s interests at heart and I promise to deliver on the same. I assure the youth of this nation that we will work to creating more and better jobs for them," she pledged.
