KNH Acting CEO Dr Evans Kamuri
On Tuesday, KNH Acting Chief Executive Officer Dr Evans Kamuri and a policeman responsible for the security of patients who are under arrest, Joseph Asugo, clashed in court over Bera’s whereabouts.
The development in court resulted in confusion with media reports reporting that the JKUAT student had gone missing.
Kamuri and Asugo are expected back to court on July 3 when the case against Bera will be mentioned.
Bera's Facebook posts
The 25-year old engineering student grabbed national attention after he attempted to scale the wall of the heavily-guarded State House in Nairobi.
He was reportedly shot after he attempted to attack a guard with a knife.
A look at his Facebook page exposed disturbing messages that Bera had posted, even announcing his plan to assassinate President Uhuru Kenyatta on the day before he attempted to enter State House.
“Tomorrow I attack State House…It is a spiritual war!” he said in the Facebook page that has since been pulled down.
The student's father, David Bera has since explained that his son was suffering from a mental disorder and pleaded for the government to release him for the appropriate treatment.
