Lang'ata Road, Uhuru Highway, Haile Selassie to be closed on December 1, 2019

The Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) has announced closure of some major Nairobi roads on December 1, 2019.

A notice by KURA outlines that traffic along Lang'ata Road, Uhuru Highway, Haile Selassie Avenue and Bunyala Road will be interrupted.

"This is to notify the general public that traffic along Lang'ata Road, Aerodome Road, Lower Hill Road, Uhuru Highway, Haile Sellasie Avenue and Bunyala Road will be affected due to the Grand Nairobi Bike Race happening on Sunday 1st December, 2019 as from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

"Motorists are advised to use alternative routes," the notice read.

10-day closure along Ngong Road

Another notice by KURA outlined disruption in accessing Ngong Road that will last 10 days beginning December 2.

"This is to notify the public that a section of King'ara Road will remai closed as from Monday, 2nd December 2019 until Wednesday, 11th December 2019 both days inclusive. This is due to the ongoing works aimed at improving the junction.

"Motorists are advised to use alternative routes to access Ngong Road and King'ara Road," the notice outlined.
