Government considering turning all public boarding schools into day Schools

The approach is wanting.

The sentiments by Dr Kipsang comes in the midst of closure of dozens of schools following night fires, which have swept schools in the last few weeks.

A number of students in return have been arrested by police, after the review of CCTV footages, as was the case with Kisii High School, following a Tuesday night fire.

Recently, Dr Kipsang made headlines after he said that the government is considering having same uniforms for all students across the country, sparking protests among Kenyans.

Kipsang says they are in discussion with stakeholders to change the uniform policy and have schools adopt same color and fabric, sentiments that were supported by his Education senior, Ab Mohamed.

“As we move towards having the same uniform and fabric in all our schools we want Rivatex to prepare so that they are able to play a role in the manufacture of the uniforms that will be required,” Dr Belio said during a press conference in Eldoret last week.

The new announcement by Dr Kipsang comes hours after the Education CS Amb Amina Mohamed sad that parents will fully cater for the costs of repairs of damages on infrastructure in recent series of school unrests.
