Why Kabogo wants Kenyans to boycott this supermarket

Kenyans reacted with outrage after the leaked 'racist email' went viral

Taking to Twitter, Kabogo called joined netizens in calling for a boycott stating that “All native Africans should resist chandarana. We should not buy from them. The whites will.”

The ex-governor was responding to a leaked email from Chandarana supermarkets instructing managers to focus on white clients with incentives.

The email sent by Mrs Rima Patel who signed off as a marketing specialist instructed all managers to target white customers with vouchers and raffles as a way of attracting and retaining white clients.

The email read in part that “We are delighted to inform you that our supermarket chain, would like to give you free vouchers to winner/raffles/best performer/runners up candidate in upcoming events. As we are now focusing on white people to attract our supermarkets”.

The leaked email sparked public outrage with Kenyans taking to Twitter to bash the retail outlet for what many saw as racism.
