NASA leader issues strong message to President Tump

Raila Odinga's demand to Donald Trump

In a press statement released on Saturday afternoon, the opposition chief noted that the remarks linked to Trump are abusive to Africa and other Third world countries, troubling and unfortunate.

The statement read in part that “the remarks are deeply hypocritical as they conveniently ignore the fact that US corporations have set up tents in the same African countries that President Trump is disparaging and are making billions of dollars that they repatriate back to the US”.

Odinga took a swipe at Trump, reminding him that most of Africa’s poverty and governance problems are a direct result of America’s foreign policies and interference.

On Thursday during an Immigration reforms meeting, Trump sparked outrage after he allegedly referred to African and other third world countries as “shithole countries" and questioned why their citizens should be allowed to access America.

The opposition chief urged other African leaders to stand up for the dignity of Africa and demand an apology from Trump, adding that the remarks part of a growing habit by a president who has never missed an opportunity to bully and disparage particularly poor nations.

Trump has come under fire severally for his foreign and immigration policies with most of them being challenged in court in America.
