Police move against Silverstone Airlines after 3 accidents in a month

The Kenya Police, together with aviation authorities have launched an investigation on the operations of Silverstone Airlines following an incident where one of the airline's planes made an emergency landing in Eldoret after losing a wheel while taking off in Lodwar.

The incident in Eldoret was the third minor accident in the past month that has prompted the authorities to look deeper into the issue.

Wilson Airport

Two weeks ago, one of Silverstone's planes caused panic among its 50 passengers after it skidded off the runway of Wilson Airport as it was preparing to take off to Lamu. There were no fatalities but nine passengers sustained minor injuries.

Over the weekend, a video emerged of a Silverstone aircraft hitting another plane while being parked at the Wilson Airlines hangar.
