Governor Mutua reveals his 2022 plans after crucial court win over Wavinya

Alfred Mutua to vie for top seat

The Governor has said he will now direct his attention to 2022 State House race after the court upheld his victory in the August elections.

"I am happy, really happy, today is a declaration that the journey to Statehouse is on and in 2022 I will vie and by God's Grace I will win to become the 5th President of Kenya,"Mutua said while speaking to his supporters after his win.

Mutua mentioned that he is prepared to take Kenya’s top leadership post to Ukambani.

"To Kenyans, the time for fresh leadership that is not tribal, clean, visionary, creative, and energetic and with a new way of doing things is here with us. I am ready to serve you," Mutua said.

Machakos court on Friday ruled in favor of Governor Alfred Mutua in a petition that challenged his victory during the august 8 elections. Wavinya Ndeti’ had earlier gone to court to report that the election was rigged to favor the incumbent Mutua.

The Machakos court fined Wavinya Ndeti with Sh10million for costs of her election petition against Governor Alfred Mutua.

Despite being challenged in court, the governor has spread out a hand of peace and is ready to work with Wavinya

"Wavinya, I welcome you to come we work together. "Yaliyopita sindwele, Tungange yajayo". Whether you supported me or others, I am your Governor and will serve you and work with you," he said.
