Khalwale declares his stand on Raila's push for referendum

Addressing the public in Chavakali during the home coming party of Sabatia MP Alfred Agoi, he made it clear that he was the first Luhya leader to stand with Mudavadi and as such could not have any hidden agenda against him.

Khalwale also vowed that efforts by a section of leaders to amend the constitution to create political posts would be defeated.

He accused children of Kenya’s founding fathers Raila Odinga, Uhuru Kenyatta and Gideon Moi of conspiring to amend the constitution so as to award themselves positions.

He took a swipe at President Uhuru Kenyatta for pushing for Odinga and Moi to get jobs in the government while Kenyan youths remain unemployed, citing recent deal that would see Kenya get doctors from Cuba.

The straight speaking Khalwale warned that the amendments would inflate the public wage bill that is already a burden to Kenyans.

The event was also graced by NASA principals Moses Wetangula and Musalia Mudavadi.
