In a message posted on his social media platforms, he informed his supporterson the developments, assuring that his commitment to the struggle for reforms.
The message read “Admitted at the Sunnybtook Health Science Centre, Toronto, for further toxicology tests and treatment. I remain strong and focused. Aluta continua. Dr. Miguna Miguna, April 7”.
Miguna also sought to correct historical misconception and clarified that Raila’s recent moves has only made Jubilee stronger.
He made it clear that the Raila-Uhuru handshake ws purely guided by personal interests unlike the handshake between Nobel Prize recipient Nelson Mandela and de Klerk.
Through his Facebook page, Miguna also clarified that the famous handshake between Odinga and Uhuru Kenyatta did not bring the system that Odinga has opposed for so long.
Instead, Miguna observed that “It found it weaker and fortified it. Jubilee Party has become more ruthless and arrogant. The progressive forces have been divided and weakened.”
This is in sharp contrast to the handshake between Nelson Mandela and de Klerk that brought an end to the apartheid system that the celebrated statesman had fought for so long.
The handshake has left a divided opposition with Moses Wetangula declaring war with Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka and Musalia Mudavadi taking a different path.
