Bob Godec lands in big trouble, days after Donald Trump replaced him

Unlucky man?

Godec was interviewed on Radio Jambo where he explained his achievements during his term of five and a half years as US Ambassador to Kenya.

The envoy was, however, faced with a backlash after numerous callers at the station accused him of bias and incompetence.

One of the callers accused Godec of turning ablind eye when the Jubilee government deployed police officers to harass and maim Opposition supporters.

"Nauliza hivi, Ni nani atalipa damu ya watu wetu waliokufa? [I want Mr Godec to tell us, who will compensate us for blood spilt during the elections?]" asked a caller, Veronica Namanda.

Other issues that came up during the interview included the plight of NRM General Miguna Miguna, and electoral injustices.

The US envoy held his ground and defended his tenure, stating he had done his best.
