Another setback for Kalonzo

Tough times for Kalonzo Musyoka

“I have lost confidence in Wiper and Kalonzo and have taken a sabbatical political leave,” Kitheka shared in a Facebook post.

It has come as a shocker because Kitheka has been a staunch advocate of the vice president and he has even used his own resources severally to sell Wiper manifesto to Machakos residents.

A while ago Machakos governor Alfred Mutua announced he’ll be eyeing the presidential position come 2022. Ukambani youth have come out and pledged their support for the governor.

For quite a long time Kalonzo has enjoyed political superiority in the region. But it is now evident that he is slowly loosing grip of the vast Machakos County. Leaders and powerful individuals are gradually switching their allegiance to Mutua.

Another key Wiper solicitor Francis Ngunga known for him political vehemence has shifted his devotion to Mutua saying that it is time to settle their differences and move forward.

“If Machakos people decided that you be the governor, then who are we to say no? We plead with humility that we work together. Diversity of our differences will make us strong,” Ngunga said adding “Diversity of our differences will make us strong.”

Francis Ngunga is Mua hills MCA.

On Wednesday, the governor held a closed door meeting with the county assembly leaders at his office, but details of the meeting has not been promulgated.
