Mimi ni Mudavadi…Mudava mmmm, mimi ni Muuudavaaadi,” the distressed bearded young man said before he was released after which he quickly run towards the safe area.

The incident appeared to amuse Junior Odinga who tweeted the video with a caption mocking Mike’s reaction, “hahaha ati wewe ni nani”.

The Mudavadis, who are characteristically quiet about their family affairs, did not make a comment on their son’s ordeal.

The matter was later brought to public attention by Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale, whose daughter had also been trapped in the Dusit Complex for several hours. She was later rescued.

Al Shabaab claimed responsibility that left at least 21 people dead and several others injured.
