Uhuru Kenyatta’s family has dominated news in recent times both for the good news as well as the scandalous ones.

While the family was celebrating the wedding of Uhuru Kenyatta’s firstborn to his fiancée, Ngobi Achola, news of the president’s relatives being involved in corruption broke out.

However, attention returns to Jomo and his love Achola Ngobi. After days of the public focusing on the identity of his fiancée and tracing her background, there is finally more news from Uhuru Kenyatta family.

Fresh from holding a traditional wedding at an undisclosed location, preparations for a white wedding are fast gaining momentum. The first family has announced plans for a bride price ceremony known in Kikuyu as Itara.

In this ceremony, the bride to be and her family get to meet the groom’s family for the first time and share a meal as they finalize the bride price negotiations.

Unlike the traditional wedding which was done in secrecy, and the location is yet to be known, the Itara is a bit publicized after one of the invitation cards got shared on social media.

It reveals that the ceremony will be held at Ichaweri in Gatundu. However, it is only for those invited by card. The ceremony will happen on 12th November. Here is a glimpse of the card
