NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga has until next week on Tuesday to file a petition in Supreme Court if he believes General Election was rigged and has compelling evidence to prove.
According to the Presidential Petition 2017 Guidelines, anyone seeking to challenge the presidential results has seven days to do so after the declaration.
This now means NASA has between August 14-22 t0 move to court.
Odinga has left people guessing what his next move will be after Siaya Senator James Orengo, who is part of NASA’s legal team, announced that ‘courts would not be an option this time.’
"Going to the Supreme Court is not an option for us. We have been there and we have been disappointed,” Orengo warned.
Among the options the former Prime Minister has is to move to court, provide evidence and challenge the outcome of the Elections where President Uhuru Kenyatta was declared the winner.
Odinga could also Marshall up his supporters for protests to push for what he believes is justice.
The Opposition leader will on Tuesday make known his next move to the public.
Anxiety has gripped Kenyans in anticipation of what he could say with some speculating it could be crucial in maintaining peace in the country.
