Odinga made the rather drastic decision after reports emerged that the police were planning a second raid at the palatial home.
The High Court had on Tuesday evening issued a temporary order blocking police from arresting Wanjigi or searching his properties.
The elite Recce squad, assisted by members of the Flying Squad, had camped at the home of the controversial businessman for more than twenty four hours where they broke doors and walls in alleged search of explosives and other dangerous weapons.
However, the search was interrupted after Wanjigi’s lawyer, who is also the Siaya Senator James Orengo, delivered the court order and pinned it on the wall.
Odinga would later visit the home after police officers refused to leave the home, causing fears of a second raid.
After Odinga’s arrivals, the NASA leader’s private spokesman Dennis Onyango confirmed the officers left the home.
