The event of the year for African vintage car lovers.
The show, held every last Sunday of September each year, showcases up to 70 cars and 40 motorbikes judges under Kenya Motorsport Federation Regulations (KMSF).
The show is an amalgamation of all the finery that Nairobi has to offer. With the merging of beautiful vintage cars, African fashion and the show culminates with a celebrity performance.
Countless celebrities also participate.
This year, Ministry of Sports announced that former Classic 105 presenter Larry Asego will be entering with a 1974 Volkswagen Camper to the delight of fans.
Vintage car enthusiasts are also looking forward to viewing new additions to the catalogue such as the 1927 Dodge Salon which will be the oldest entrant at this year’s event.
Asego will face fierce competition with veteran entrants such as Alec Davis’ Alfa Romeo 1750 Spider from 1968 and Magdi Riad’s Chevy Deluxe.
Additionally in the bike show, twelve members of the Uganda Bikers Association enter whereby Stephen Tabaruka will be showing a 1957 BSA.
Enthusiasts interested in owning a classic car can now purchase one at the event.
Hellen Andrew, Classic Sale Secretary commented, “Instead of leaving cars to rust in backyards enter them for the Classic Sale at the Nairobi Racecourse and sell them to potential buyers, who will attend the CBA Concours d’Elegance on Sunday September, 24th 2017.”
